Sebastian Söderberg came through a five man play-off featuring World Number Two Rory McIlroy to win his first European Tour title at the Omega European Masters.

The Omega European Masters returns to the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club – the hosting venue since 1948. Favourite to win is Rory McIlroy – fresh from winning the FedEx Cup Championship, the Irishman is enjoying one of the best ball-striking spells of his career. Also competing is Matthew Fitzpatrick, two time consecutive winner of the Omega European Masters. No player has ever claimed three successive Omega European Masters titles – can he become the first?

  1. The last hole really cost rory when he didn’t manage to hit a draw or even a straight fairway wood to hold the fairway in rounds 3 and 4 . Fortunately for him he has a lovely physique and great muscle definition. Better luck next time Rory all my love from Aki.

  2. I lost to Sebastian in match play at Partille golf club when he was twelve. Give me a rematch and I think I can beat him.
