In the third round of THE PLAYERS Championship 2019, Rory McIlroy started slow, but rebounded to shoot a 2-under 70 to get to 14-under for the tournament, tied with Tommy Fleetwood and just one stroke back of leader Jon Rahm.

  1. Rory hasn’t closed out a for a victory in the final round in the last 8 events if he’s in the final group…..Would be nice to see him close one out for a change

    1. The Weekend Hack I think he will. He knows how important a W would be here heading into Augusta. Would place him firmly as the favorite.

  2. Master’s Champ if he can get the putter going next month. Would love to see it. Golf could use another ‘Career Grand Slam’ winner other than TW in my opinion. Phil probably missed his chance, and Rory needs to do it before Spieth eventually does as well.

    1. Rory’s famous for choking in the 4th round. Like unbelievably, almost to a point of a clear psychological barrier.
